Navigating the Site

Policies Page

As a reminder, I encourage you to read the general disclaimers and policies. Nothing should be a surprise there, but your continued use of this site assumes there isn't anything there that you would not agree to.

What's New

Feel free to just browse each page and check out the blog however you like. But if you are curious what's new on the site whenever you return, you may want to check out this section as your first stop.

What's New As of 5/12/2022

  • You may notice I decided to remove any reference to the malas and jewelry I make. Due to an unexpected increase to the number of intensives (retreats) I've been attending, as well as spiritual texts and study I'm immersed in, I simply don't have much time to work on jewelry design let alone find time to build out the store of items already made. Most likely that will happen, but I can't predict when!
  • More blog posts coming soon! After going on 4 retreats in 6 months, I have a lot of really great experiences and practices to share. I just have to find time to write.
  • AND my intention is to post either video or audio to go along with some of the upcoming posts. I don't normally do guided meditations publicly, but I have a method that came to me on the latest retreat that is so powerful I think it might be useful to share in audio format.
  • I try to maintain the Resources page as real-time as possible (when I finish a book or text, I'll add it to that page).
  • I intend to replace some text (even the site tour below) with video or audio soon!

Allow me to show you around...

In case you want a little guided tour, below I've suggested a possible route for navigating the site.

FIRST STOP should always be this page, the sections above, to know what's up and what's new.

SECOND, if you're mostly only interested in what books or other resources are recommended or available, just head on over to the Resources page.

THIRD, if you want to know more about my background before you start reading the blog, I recommend you pop over to the About page and read the post "How I Got Here."

FOURTH, once you're ready to dive in and explore the real heart of the content on the blog, below is a quick overview of the Blog Categories and some recommended posts:

  1. The Journey. Here you will find content more specifically tied to my personal experiences and observations regarding anything along this path.  In addition to "How I Got Here," another example post for this category stemmed from a dream: "I Love My Killer". Other posts will cover any methods I learn from direct experience and not a specific teaching.
  2. Aware Living. The content you'll find in this category will typically be practical, how-to strategies and suggestions for living more simply, including decluttering, feng shui, and home organizing tips. "Put an Expiration Date on It" and "What's Your Annual Theme?" are good examples for this category of posts.
  3. Wisdom Teachings. The insights and practices I'll write about here are tied directly to certain books, sacred texts, or dharma talks. To be clear, these aren't my teachings but, rather, my reflections on the widsom teachings and any resulting attempts at practical application. Emphasis will be on non-dual teachings stemming from Buddhism (particularly based on the Prajnaparamita texts), Taoism, and Advaita Vedanta. Check out "The Four Noble Truths" for a post example from this category as well as "Perfect Brilliant Stillness (book review)."

FIFTH and final stop - Subscribe to Stay in Touch. That's it! You've taken the grand tour and can venture out from here (where else!?). And if you think all of this stuff looks pretty groovy and want to get an occasional email with news and updates, please feel free to subscribe.

I hope that helped. Tip: You may only want to read posts in whatever categories you're interested in. If non-dual is NOT your jam, the Aware Living category may still be of interest and maybe a few posts in The Journey. Happy reading!

A Note About Social Media

I don't typically engage on Social Media platforms (unless I'm decluttering and selling stuff). At some point I may change my mind, but as of right now, I am not actively on platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Facebook or Pinterest.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.
